How did I not know about the brand Magnolia Baby when I was shopping for Mark? I can’t believe these super soft cotton products were not on my radar. Never again will I make that mistake. Thankfully, we were gifted a Magnolia Baby Blanket and I immediately fell in love (and ordered a bunch more!). With the most adorable prints, a touch of beautiful embroidery, and super soft double layered cotton, these are a winner.
The blankets are the perfect weight making them ideal for everything from fall stroller walks to cuddling on the couch with your munchkin. They would also be great for wrapping around a newborn when guests are holding the baby. We used swaddle blankets for Mark (since we didn’t have these yet), but for baby #2 we will definitely use these as they are so much softer for both us and baby!
Mark still approves of these blankets at nearly 6 months old. He loves to “play” with them, rub them against his cheek, and occasionally wraps his hand in them and uses them as a teether. They must be super soft on his sore gums!
Shopping Tip #1: The blankets are pricey, retailing from $30-45 dollars but if you sign up for emails & wait for a sale, you should be able to snag them at a great discount. I ordered ours in the US from Liam and Lilly during a flash sale when they were marked down to $14.99! Right now they are running a Summer Sale and have some marked down for $12.99!! In Europe, I pick Magnolia Baby items up from Children Salon. They aren’t currently running a sale, but stay on the look out 🙂
Shopping Tip #2: Magnolia Baby makes a number of styles of blankets so be sure to order the receiving blanket (not the swaddle) if you are looking for a cotton blanket. Also, check if the blanket is double layered or a single layer. We only have the double layered blankets and they are definitely worth the few extra dollars. The receiving blankets come “solid”, with an appliqué, or with embroidery. I prefer the embroidery style which are pictured below!
