Munich with a Munchkin

I am not sure there is anything more festive then holidaying in Germany in December. This country seriously knows how to get into the Christmas spirit. Germany was the last country I had to visit before we departed Europe. I couldn’t imagine living in Belgium for the past two years and never making it across the border. As we were able to tie Munich & Salzburg into the same trip, it was the perfect city for our Germany experience! It took a bit of extra planning tackling this cold city with Mark, but our logistics worked great and we had a wonderful quick trip in Munich!

Snowy Salzburg

Salzburg, Austria. Mark’s first snow fall. Christmas markets & holiday cheer. As you might have guessed, we had a wonderful family holiday this past week. Salzburg was one of the last remaining cities on my European Wanderlust List I made back in January 2016 when I first moved to Belgium. I am so happy we were able to sneak this slightly last minute trip in before we departed back to the US. Our trip to Salzburg couldn’t have been a more festive way to kick off the Christmas season. Swim Essentials for Water Babies

It may officially be fall, but we are still pretending it is summertime and sneaking in all the summer activities we can. Granted, it isn’t difficult considering we are currently in Houston where it has been in the nineties everyday! With all the heat, we are spending tons of time in the pool. We are so lucky that Mark seems to loves the water as much as we do. He’s gone swimming a bunch and he seem to love it more each time!

It took us some time to figure out what pool products worked best for Mark.  went through a number of products before finding our favorite pool essentials for Mark. We needed things that worked for his first pool outing around 16 weeks old but as we had a number of swim sessions planned, wanted things that would last a few months. We’ve been thrilled with our items so I’m sharing our checklist below! Be sure to check it out if you are planning any pool time with your little one.

Packing Prep with our Tiny Traveler

We have quite the tiny traveller on our hands over here. Mark has been to seven countries, on nine flights (including three transatlantic ones!), on a few train rides, and even a boat ride! He got his passport at 2 weeks old and even has Global Entry. We are currently heading on Mark’s fifth big trip! Needless to say, we’ve had some practice in prepping for trips with our little one. Brett and I take notes from each trip regarding what worked & what didn’t and it helps us better prep for our next adventure. Today I’m sharing some of our tips for how we prepare for traveling with our little one.
