Looking Back: Mark’s Newborn Photoshoot

I had hoped to start blogging before Mark was born but between pregnancy related exhaustion & his slightly early arrival, needless to say, it never happened. Little did I know in the coming months I would be just as busy. Who knew taking care of such a tiny human required so much time :). Fast forward five months and with a bit of “mommying” under my belt, I finally found the energy & time to start Mama to Mark. As there were a few precious memories from those early weeks, in honor of “Throwback Thursday” I’m sharing Mark’s newborn pictures!

While I never did a maternity shoot, newborn pictures were a must have on my list. I will forever cherish these photos and I am so happy Brett & I choose a photographer who included the parents in lots of the shoots. I love having our little family and the first days of being Mark’s mom & dad documented in these beautiful pictures.  If you are debating whether or not to book newborn pictures, do it! You won’t ever regret documenting your tiny newborn – they grow oh so fast!

I still distinctly remember leaving our apartment for our first “appointment” to take these photos. We allotted over 2 hour to get ready and leave with our newborn & still managed to be 15 minutes late!.  It was my first experience with “running on newborn time”.  Looking back, “only” being 15 minutes late was impressive, I’m still constantly running late these days. It is hard to believe our 6 day old itty bitty baby in these photos will be turning 6 months in just a few days! Cue the mommy tears!
